Results

The index of ecological health of the waterways of the Fitzroy Basin decreased overall in 2019-20 compared to 2018-19. During the same period, the condition of Callide, Comet, Connors, Fitzroy, Lower Dawson and Theresa decreased, the condition of Estuary Zone remained stable and the condition of Lower Isaac, Mackenzie, Nogoa, Upper Dawson and Upper Isaac increased

The long term trend of the Fitzroy Basin has seen a steady decline in condition. The long term condition of Callide, Connors, Fitzroy, Lower Dawson, Lower Isaac, Nogoa and Theresa decreased, the long term condition of Comet, Estuary Zone, Upper Dawson and Upper Isaac increased and the long term condition of Mackenzie remained stable
