Results

The index of ecological health of the waterways of the Fitzroy Basin increased overall in 2022-23 compared to 2021-22. During the same period, the condition of Callide, Comet, Fitzroy, Lower Dawson, Lower Isaac, Mackenzie, Nogoa, Theresa, Upper Dawson and Upper Isaac increased, the condition of Connors remained stable and the condition of Estuary Zone decreased

The long term trend of the Fitzroy Basin has seen a steady improvement in condition. The long term condition of Callide, Comet, Connors, Estuary Zone, Mackenzie, Theresa and Upper Isaac increased and the long term condition of Fitzroy, Lower Dawson, Lower Isaac, Nogoa and Upper Dawson decreased
