Stewardship Report 2026
Being the change that is needed
Across the Fitzroy Basin, industry, government, landholders, Traditional Owners and community are working together to look after our rivers and the Reef. These are their stories.
Introduction
The FPRH Stewardship Report 2026 brings together stories from across the Fitzroy Basin. They cover water quality, land improvement, First Nations enterprise, urban water and policy.
Graziers are restoring brigalow and rebuilding soil health. A Traditional Owner-owned enterprise is growing the native seed used to rehabilitate mine sites. Councils, miners, growers and students are all playing a part.
This year the report is part of a broader FPRH Stewardship Program, which now includes Stewardship Spotlights and the annual Stewardship Awards.
