We’re on the lookout for a passionate, strategic, and people-focused leader to take on one of Central Queensland’s most meaningful roles.

As the Executive Officer of Fitzroy Partnership for River Health (FPRH), you’ll lead a dynamic team in delivering independent, science-based reporting on the health of the Fitzroy Basin’s waterways. You’ll build powerful partnerships across government, industry, research, and community to shape the environmental future of the region. If you’re an experienced leader with a love for collaboration, credible science, and creating positive change, this is your opportunity to leave a lasting legacy.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

Delivering the Fitzroy region’s annual Waterway Health Report Card and Stewardship Report
Managing a high-performing team and stakeholder relationships
Leading the regional Water Forum and citizen science programs
Elevating the profile and impact of FPRH across Queensland and beyond

What We’re Looking For:

Proven leadership in science, governance, or stakeholder engagement
Strong relationship-building and strategic communication skills
Experience managing people, budgets, and programs
A genuine passion for protecting natural resources and working with community
